April Reid has been a court reporter for 16 years -- and with Huseby Inc., NationalDepo’s Agent in North Carolina (and other Southeast states) for more than three years. April uses computer-aided transcription and has reported for a wide variety of cases including medical and legal malpractice, and domestic, custody, criminal, construction, corporate, bankruptcy and workers' compensation.

“I really like working for NationalDepo. I worked for another firm for a short time and was only paid once a month, never on the same day. That experience really makes me appreciate NationalDepo -- they pay like clockwork every week. I absolutely love court reporting because every day is unique and different. You never know quite what to expect."

Tara Schwake has been a court reporter for fourteen years - all but nine months with Midwest Litigation Services, NationalDepo's agent in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently, Tara works mainly on intellectual property cases, patent litigation, and biogenetically engineered plant litigation.

"I've used real-time since it became available -- and my writing has even been broadcast over the Internet via a real-time server. NationalDepo gives me access to good jobs all around the country. These tend to be real-time jobs, so they are better paying. And, I have to say, NationalDepo's weekly guaranteed pay is fabulous."

Sandy Edmonson has been a court reporter for 16 years -- and for one year with Sharron Nisbett Court Reporting and Videography, NationalDepo's agent in Fresno, Sacramento and Bakersfield, California. She works a full spectrum of cases, but likes medical cases because she finds them interesting and challenging.

“I really enjoy deposition reporting for NationalDepo. Each case is an educational experience, and I'm amazed at the amount of information I've learned in so many different subjects. I use real-time for every deposition. It's a real challenge to keep up with the technology -- it advances so quickly.”

Jonathan Wonnell has been a court reporter since 1994 and works for Henderson Legal Services, NationalDepo’s agent in Washington, D.C. The majority of his work is for corporate lawsuits.

“NationalDepo is well-managed and the people are great to work with. Those things are important to me. I love court reporting because it’s active and engaging. Some areas of the law are very abstract – I have to stay on my toes to keep up with the terminology, especially in patent cases. I always hook up my own laptop to translate what I write in real-time – I have a great setup.”

-- Jonathan Wonnell, RPR, Notary Public (VA, MD, DC)

Joanne Bergren has been a court reporter since 1984.
Six months ago, she merged her court-reporting agency into the Maxene Weinberg Agency, NationalDepo's agent in Orange County and Palm Springs, CA.

”I enjoy traveling and meeting people. Deposition reporting has provided that opportunity for me. I really love working with NationalDepo. Now I can provide my clients with the benefits of a national network. That’s important to me. I've been doing realtime reporting since 1992, when the first software came out. Now, at almost every deposition I take, at least one attorney receives a realtime feed.”
